Audi TT Tuning
Since there are several body kits available for the MK1 TT, the decision of selecting one has been hard, but so much fun! My shortened list had 2 kits (Regula and Hofele) but I recently got insider information from DMC Concept… They are building an RS4 type body kit for the TT 8N. Incredible! (See it here) I will definitively got with theirs. No questions asked.

1. ABT Tuning
2. Arjo Tuning
3. Arjo Tuning
This Arjo Tuning kit is the first kit I see that modifies the headlights shape. It looks like the hood is modified in its lenght: the headlignhs are partly covered, only displaying 60% of the full light. Well done!
4. Cadamuro Design
5. Caractere Automobile
6. Carline Tuning
7. Dietrich Auto Style
8. Dietrich Auto Style
9. DMC Concept
I really like what DMC does. Their front splitters, front wings, side scoops and rear wing are very nice. So nice in fact that I bought myself the 3.2 rear wing. Something else: they have the nicest rear diffusor add-on I have ever seen. Very rare, I only saw it once, but it’s sooooo cool.
10. Estilo.R Carline
Not my style, but congrats to the designer! It’s one of the most different look for the TT.
11. Hofele
12. Hofele
13. JE Design
14. Lumma Design
15. OSIR
OSIR has gone where no one else has ever gone before. They modified the fenders, to add an air intake. Very nice! I might go for a pair, since I need extra cold air under the hood. OSIR also manufactures a carbon fiber hood and other goodies.
16. PPI Automotive Design

18. Prior Design
19. Projektzwo Tuning
20. Regula Tuning
21. Regula Tuning – Type A

Regula Tuning Type A Body Kit Audi TT 8N Mk1 (Germany). Funny Story: I contated Regula Tuning almost a year ago with a photoshop of a MK2 body kit adapted on the MK1 body. I had asked them if they would consider making this kit. Their answer was “no”! I guess they have been asked many times… The end result is not bad, but it’s far far away from the original MK1 line.
22. Rieger Tuning
23. Rieger Tuning
Ah Reiger. So close to perfection! Well done, very nice demo car too. Front and rear bumpers are well executed with mached design. This kit is very nice although it does not change the car look that much. (compared to other kits with the new Audi grills)
24. Schubert Tuning
25. Schubert Tuning
This kit is also very cool. Bieng that it’s entirely molded with the front splitter! Just one thing, don’t hit anything, cause you’ll need a fiberglass kit to repair… But nicely done. The side flaps are also unique.
26. Seidl
27. Seker Tuning
I very much like the Seke Tuning kit. Although it is very exensive compared to the average kit, (close to 2000 Euros) I find it has the best front and rear bumpers. Front: Look at how far up the two “air intakes” go; It’s close to the headlamp which is rare in the TT 8N body kits. It obviously cancels the headlight washers. But another very cool aspect of the front bumper is that is incorporates Audi A6s LED foglamps. The rear in also very nice. It’s molded to the car lines and show a rear valance similar to F1 race cars. Very well done Seker!

I’ve been following your blog since you started. You have made amazing progress. This site is an inspiration for all pursuing a long transition versus the big chop.

Can you address the issue on how to make your tt rs look like a race car like: http://www.freshnessmag.com/2010/10/14/raeder-motorsport-audi-tt-rs-race-car
1. For example, how to get that huge racing spoiler from audi/aftermarket.
2. Are there any knowledgeable/good way on getting the appropriate decals. How much are we expecting to pay and where to begin.
Yser,
Are you referring to the MK1 or MK2 TT?
Andre
Yes, the Seker Tuning Kit are very amazing.
I buy this Body Kit from seker tuning!
Hi Marcus!
Heve you installed it yet?
Care to share pictures?
Cheers,
Andre
nice
You completely forgot Audi’s OEM bodykit by Votex. I’ve been running the front end of that kit for a few years now and while its less ostentacious than the majority of these, it keeps the car’s classy appeal. Maybe I’m oldschool since I’ve had my TT for since way before the MKII, but I’m not a big fan of the MKII conversions, I’d rather just get an MKII.
Hi Chris,
You are right!
I’ll add it to the list right away!
As far as classy vs too much, I get what you’re saying.
But then again, every taste is different!
🙂
Thanks again,
Andre

Grazie di tutto…
con piacere …
Your Uberhaus is the same like PPI. And PPI is not PPI, it is Pogea Racing! PPI is buying the stuff from everywhere.
Merci Eduard,
I will investigate and make the necessary corrections if needed.

Hi my friends
I have one TT mk1 8n 225 hp from 99. The first one imported to Portugal. After all this year enjoing this great car ( 285.000 kms ) , i would like to install one full Body kit. How much i need to expend to buy the Uberhaus nº 20 or the Regula nº 30 ? My Car is the original grey, but maybe i will change color to Black ?
My thanks in advance for any information about
Cheers
Carlos
Hi Carlos,
I you read my last post, you’ll have an idea of what I’ll be answering you…
To answer your question precisely: The Regula is definitively cheaper. In Canada-US dollars, you would have to spend about 2K for the Regula Kit + at least 4K for a good paint job. Not sure how this translates in Euros. (say 4K?)
BUT the real question is: Are you willing to spend a lot more on your car and how long do you wish to keep it for? Thing is, if you start putting (investing is the wrong word…) money on your car, you’ll never stop. Once you have the kit, you’ll want suspension, then brakes, then sound system, door hinges, engine mods, etc. In a few months, years, you’ll have spent a lot of € on your TT. Not a bad hobby though, rest assured, but you’ll spend more than you expect. And your TT will always be worth about the same price. Think that for every Euro you’ll spend on your TT, its price will only raise by 10% of what you spent. And that is if you find a buyer that wishes to buy a 99 TT that has been modified…
The other thing is, if you wish to keep your car for a (very) long time, you maybe have an opportunity to keep it original and have something other’s don’t. It will be worth more in 10 years in its original state & color than your Regula TT. Especially if its the 1st TT imported in Portugal and Arrow Grey. Keep it original I tell you. Maybe refresh its paint (same Audi paint plz!) and maybe add nice wheels and lower suspension. But keep the original wheels and suspension in case you wish to bring it back to original in a few years.
Now if you still wish to go for the Regula, go for it. But IMO, you’ll be ruining the first TT ever imported in Portugal…
Thanks Andre
I will go for Regula but i will keep every spair part to change later again ,if i want it back again to original. I`m not intending to sell this car never. But you are right, as soon as you start making changes you d`ont stop anymore. Do you know and recommend me one company to provide me the Regula kit
Best wishes
Carlos
Hi Carlos!
Good thing. Go to Regula directly for a better price.
Best,
Andre
Thanks for your help about Andre
Just one opinion more. The original weels are 17″ but the car, will look nicer with 18″ or 19 “. Do you think with some poor roads in Portugal, i will have more trouble with bigger weels ? I have new tyres on the original 17” one`s but they are not so nice for me anymore. I can sell them to anyway. Installing the body kit, i was attracted to change for bigger weels
Cheers
Carlos
Carlos,
Go for for it. I live in Quebec Canada and our roads are worse than they are in Beyrouth… no joke!
🙂
Andre
Do you know where I could find the “R8” like stripe on the side for a mk1 tt?
Hey Scott!
Yes, at Seker. http://www.seker-tuning.de/web-shop-de/product_info.php?info=p12_audi-tt-8n—r8-style-side-blades.html
Their product quality is fair, but not high-end. That’s what make is affordable.
Cheers,
Andre
Thanks for the reply! Your car is stunning by the way.
Is there an American vendor that will supply these?
Scott, they ship to the US! You can contact Niyazi Seker. If you wish, I can introduce you. 🙂
